Cake with nuts


I made the dough in the bread machine, and I put the ingredients in the following order: warm milk, egg yolks mixed with sugar, salt, butter, oil, flour on top and the yeast cube broken into pieces. I let the machine knead the dough, took it out and put it back in a warm place covered with a kitchen towel for 40 minutes.

I turned the dough over on the work table, I spread it with the rolling pin in a rectangle, I filled it with ground walnuts mixed with the beaten egg whites with a pinch of salt and then sugar. I evenly distributed the walnut filling on the entire surface of the dough, rolled it up and put it in a pan greased with oil and lined with flour. A little more dough came out for my cake tray, and from the remaining dough I decorated the cake on the edges and a cross in the middle. I let the cake rise again in a warm place for 20-30 minutes, I greased it with egg yolk mixed with milk, I put it in the hot oven at 170 degrees for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes had passed, I covered it with aluminum foil because it had already acquired a golden color and I didn't want it to burn and I put it in the oven for another 15-20 minutes.

I let it cool in the oven with the door ajar.
