You can eat all of these chocolate desserts and more aboard the Chocolate Journeys cruise.
They had us at “chocolate spa.” Princess Cruises is creating a cruise line experience just for chocoholics called “Chocolate Journeys,” in partnership with Norman Love. Setting sail this fall, guests will be able to eat and drink pounds of chocolate in various forms, from the 15 desserts Love is creating for the ship (like the pistachio mound covered in milk chocolate), and the chocolate wine pairings in the cruise’s wine bar, to dessert demonstrations and a chocolate spa where you can cover yourself from head to toe in melted chocolate — and it supposedly does your skin some good.
Norman Love has been named one of the top chocolatiers in the nation, and is known for creating extremely detailed and intricate chocolate works of art. You can even purchase one of his sample boxes onboard the Chocolate Journeys cruise.
“One thing is for certain, chocolate makes people happy,” said Love. “So what I create and what Princess Cruises offers its guests are quite similar — what could make people smile more than savoring decadent chocolate creations while enjoying their cruise vacation?”
“Chocolate Journeys” will be setting sail for her inaugural Caribbean season this fall.

NEWS: Disney Cruise Line Hopes to Resume Limited Operations This Fall
Can you believe it’s been an entire year since the Disney Cruise Line had its last sailing? As the CDC has continued to extend no-sail regulations and cruises were listed under a new Level 4 risk, the ships have been docked and quiet for some time.
Disney Cruise Line — The Disney Fantasy
Since then, the Disney Cruise Line has continued to extend its closure (currently through August this year) as passengers are given extended periods of time to use their credits to rebook sailings. Disney has started to look ahead to 2022 by scheduling upcoming departures, but there hasn’t been too much news on when the ships will actually start sailing again.
But, today’s Walt Disney Company Shareholder Meeting may have given us a clue about when the Disney Cruise Line could reopen again. Disney specifically stated that the Disney Cruise Line has been hard at work, updating its health and safety standards for the ships prior to their reopenings.
Disney Cruise Line Atrium
The CDC has already stated that passengers and crew will need to wear masks if they choose to travel onboard a cruise ship. As Disney prepares to list sailings again, they are “very anxious to get [their] Disney Cruise Line business back up and running.” Despite the fact that there is no official timeline regarding the reopening of the Disney Cruise Line, they are hopeful that with “luck and trends,” the cruise ships may be able to open with limited operations this Fall according to Bob Chapek.
Disney Cruise Line Wonder
On top of the health and safety standards on the current ships, the Disney Cruise Line has been moving forward with construction on the new “Wish” ship as well. When the Disney Wish debuts, it will use liquid natural gas. And, the following two Disney Cruise Line ships will do the same!

If you’re not keen on the chillier days or the shorter hours of daylight, fear not, sailing to the tropical paradise of the Caribbean will cure any woes that ail you. When opting for a cruise vacation, you take the worry out of logistics planning and other travel headaches. Moreover, expect to capitalize on a more peaceful retreat (because the kids are back at school and the majority of people are back at work). And even better, the temperatures are plenty balmy at this time. Best of all, fall is considered a shoulder season (right before the big winter holiday break), so expect better prices and deals.
Bear in mind that these deals are also spurred on by the fact that it’s still technically hurricane season in the Caribbean—however, travel overall remains safe. Regardless, it is best to check the weather advisory and directly with cruise lines, which monitor conditions frequently and inform their guests of any issues.
Here are a few of the best Caribbean Cruise packages to take advantage of right now:
Crystal Cruises
Holiday Sojurn with Crystal Cruises.
Crystal Cruises is offering a 12-day Holiday Sojurn aboard Crystal Serenity with a Wine & Food Festival themed cruise that will allow you celebrate Thanksgiving season in epicurean style. The cruise begins in Fort Lauderdale, with stops that include Turks & Caicos, St. Barthélemy, French West Indies, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These destinations are best enjoyed with their cultural deep-dive excursions, which include everything from fishing off St. Barth to cooking classes in Martinique. On the journey back to Fort Lauderdale, guests are encouraged to take advantage of the ship’s entertainment programming, which includes the Crystal’s Magic and the Crystal on Broadway series.
